- Cute little skirts with running shorts under them are just that. Cute little skirts! However, they are NOT made for running as the shorts do NOT stay put!
- If I leave before 7:00 instead of waiting until 7:30 it's about 1/2 degree cooler and MAYBE 1% less humidity!
- I so look just as good as J Lo! (It's my dream, just go with it!)
- If I pay attention to my form, I can run farther!
- My heart rate is not getting quite as high as before which is both good and bad. I'm getting fitter, my heart is getting fitter, my legs are getting fitter, my brain is getting fitter BUT I have to do more to burn the same amount of calories! :-(
- I think I may get a pedometer from WW like Mom has just to see how many steps I take a day. The one I have is cheap and I don't feel it's accurate.
- "Forget You" by Cee Lo Green has a great beat to warm up and cool down to.
- I'm going to try leaving work on time this weekend and taking my dog for a walk around the neighborhood before I shower and go to bed.
- I hate running on trash day! It stinks and the trash cans and recycling bins are in my way!
- Why can't people pick up the poop from their dogs?????
- I can't wait to get home, cool down and have some fresh cut cantaloupe with cottage cheese!
I love the random thoughts that mind plays while trying to not think about the heat, humidity and the fact that I can't breath! :-)
What do you think about while you're exercising?
I borrowed this from the Weight Watcher's Facebook page. I absolutely love it because it's so true! How many times have we decided to do something then got frustrated because it's not "easy" and quit? Not only does life not have a remote, but our bodies don't have a remote either. If we want our bodies to change we have to get up and change it! It won't be easy, change never is. But, it will be worth it in the end.
Why not join me during the month of August, get up and change your life. My August challenge is to take my multivitamin EVERY day. Others are vowing to exercise more or drink more water. All things that will change our lives if we do them every day.
Setting and achieving goals can be a very rewarding yet frustrating process. Sometimes we can only think of the end result which often seems unattainable. Because of this, it's better to set smaller goals that are achievable. So here goes my August goal....take my multivitamin EVERY day. I'm so bad a taking my vitamin. Not sure why. It sits right on my counter all the time. I walk right by it hundreds of times a day and think, I'll take it later. Unfortunately, later only comes a couple of days a week.
To help me with my goal, I'm going to print a blank calendar and put in on my fridge. Everyday that I take my vitamin, I'll mark my calendar. I might even get me some pretty stickers and use them. Hopefully this will help me be successful. I'll let you know the end of August.
Why not set a goal, print a calendar and join me!
Here goes my first "blog". I have no idea what I'm doing, just wanted to share my thoughts and ideas with the world. Maybe someone will be interested, maybe they won't. Maybe I can teach someone something, maybe I can't. Maybe I'll be an inspiration to someone, maybe I won't. Who knows what the future will hold? I'm just gonna hang on and enjoy the ride!
